I have been working with the LGBTQ+ community since the start of my career. The stigma and discrimination that LGBTQ+ people face is the reason why I stay committed to doing my best to create a safe place that leaves you feeling empowered as you navigate the challenges of everyday life. Aside from individual, couples, poly-knowledgeable, and family therapy - group therapy is also being offered.
In 2018, I launched a free support group that has evolved into an ongoing monthly therapy group for LGBTQ+ youth who have challenges with mental health symptoms such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, etc. The goal of the therapy group is to create a place for LGBTQ+ youth to feel safe as they learn about who they are and explore the type of person that they wish to become. Group sessions will explore mental health symptoms, diagnostic history, coping skills, problem solving, healthy relationships, character skills, and much more. This group allows youth the freedom to be themselves without concern about being treated differently because of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity/expression.
If you are interested in attending this group, please contact Theresa at email@example.com. RSVP is required prior to each group session and consents must be completed prior to attending your first group session. Consents are located in a secure client portal. Access to the client portal will be granted during your first email to RSVP. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Theresa at any time.
